Kansas Honor Flights
Serving Kansas Veterans
Kansas Honor Flight is an affiliate of the Honor Flight Network; a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s Veterans for their sacrifices. Kansas Honor Flight transports Kansas men and women veterans to Washington D.C., all expenses paid, so they can visit their war memorial that was built in their honor by a grateful nation. WW II veterans are sent first then Korean War and Vietnam War veterans, honoring them similarly.
The returning veterans are given a Wichita Heroes Welcome Home which is attended by family members and many patriotic supporters. The 2020 budget of $448,000.00 will send 560 Kansas veterans on 14 flights. The flights could not happen without the support of the business community, individuals and fundraising events. The largest fundraiser is the annual
Kansas Honor Flight Golf Tournament happening in the fall.
