Make It a Habitat!

Want to make an impact in your community with a hammer or a paintbrush? When you volunteer with Wichita Habitat for Humanity, you’ll work alongside hardworking families, helping them build a safe, affordable home. They welcome individuals and teams to join them for a day on the build site. Participants must be 16 years or older, and it’s a fabulous team-building event for businesses and churches. No experience or tools needed—we have everything you need!

Tasks will vary from framing, to installing siding, to hanging drywall, to painting, and to the installation of flooring, cabinets, trim, or landscaping, plus you may learn a new skill!

ReStore, our discount home-improvement store that’s open to the public, also welcomes volunteers. You’ll help receive donated items, test and prepare items for sale, move merchandise onto the sales floor, and assist customers with purchases.

If you’re looking for your service to make a long-lasting impact, Wichita Habitat for Humanity would love to welcome you to their Core Volunteer team! Core volunteers are the backbone of the organization and serve at the construction sites, at the ReStore, in the office, and in the community on a more frequent basis.
