Baked Brie with Fruit

Happy New Year’s Eve! This baked Brie promises to be a showstopper for your New Year’s Eve party. I’ve tried numerous Brie recipes, and this is by far the best! My mom has been making this Brie recipe for years, and it’s a family favorite, perfect for any occasion, and it pairs well with other cheeses, fruits, and nuts.

Ingredients

  • Brie wrapped in pastry*
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • ½ cup fresh raspberries
  • ½ cup fresh blackberries
  • ½ cup fresh blueberries
  • For the holidays, I recommend adding sprigs of rosemary.

Place the Brie in a shallow oven-safe dish, like a pie pan. In a skillet over low-medium heat, bring the butter and brown sugar to a boil and add the chopped pecans. Pour the mixture over the Brie and immediately bake at 350 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes. Once the baked Brie is out of the oven, sprinkle it with the berries.

Serve this baked Brie on a board with a freshly sliced baguette, sliced apples, and an assortment of nuts and crackers. This recipe serves 20.

*Note: You can find Brie wrapped in pastry at Dillons, Super Target, and Whole Foods.
